The Velocity 7480 limited edition goal pad features our tall plus 1.5" longer thigh rise area to provide improved five-hole coverage. The Velocity 7480 goal pad is a hybrid design to provide the feel of a conventional Velocity pad in the lower leg, but with a thinner upper knee and thigh section with a more solid construction with tighter five-hole coverage. Tall thigh rise and solid top outside roll with solid inner high density board construction stiffens the top thigh area of the pad for more solid blocking surface. Fully adjustable knee cradle with Velcro and lace adjustment allows the pad to be specifically fit to the goaltender. Special high density molded thigh guard for added protection and extends into the side knee area for greater coverage. The 7480 pad features a wide flat inner edge to provide excellent pad stability while down on the ice and uses a high density foam on the inner edge to prevent hard shots from pushing past the five-hole and to give a tighter seal while down on the ice surface. Wide leg channel aids in pad rotation while keeping the pad under control so the pad can be moved into position faster and quicker and allow more precise positioning for greater net coverage.

Estimating the size of your Vaughn hockey goalie leg pads requires three simple measurements. The most important aspect of sizing goalie leg pads is to ensure that your knee fits properly in the knee protector.

1. While standing on a level surface (carpet or hardwood floor will work just fine), measure from the floor to the mid-point of the kneecap.
   This measurement is ________" (A)
2. Next, measure from your kneecap to the desired height on your thigh. The desired position on your thigh is generally ¾ of the way up from your knee to your belt line.

3. Finally, take your skate size and multiply it by .75.

4. To estimate the size of your pads, take these measurements and add them together.
