Bauer Catch Glove Sizing Chart
While many goaltenders of all levels tend to purchase oversized catch gloves, it is essential that the goalie's fingers should extend all the way to the end of the finger holes connected to the palm to ensure a proper fit. Catch gloves with more than 1/4” of room from the tip of the goalender's finger to the end of the finger holes will not provide the goaltender with the necessary leverage needed to properly open, close, and control the catch glove. Without a proper fit, the catch glove may potentially "break back" or fold backward on itself, which can lead to difficulty while using your catch glove.
Secondly, the heel of your hand (or the base of your palm) should line up with the heel and cuff of the catch glove. If not, the balance of the glove will be thrown off, making the glove too cumbersome and sacrificing protection.
